Kimball rotary cutters can be operated with tractors from 50 HP (properly counterweighted).

Its upper hitch point, with a flotation system, allows the cutter to follow the contour of the terrain even under the most severe conditions without damaging its hitch system.

Its gearbox and drive shaft are protected against impacts by a 4-disc friction clutch; its external springs allow easy adjustment, and the gearbox in the deck can be easily removed for lubrication.

Its rear wheel includes a laminated rim with an independent hub.
